For our US Letter formats, one 8.5 × 11 inch sheet folded in half makes a four-page program measuring 5.5 × 8.5 inches. Two folded, nested sheets make an eight-page booklet of the same finished size. A trifold uses one sheet with six narrower panels. Choose by the content you want to include, then check the complete proof.

US Letter is 8.5 × 11 in. A4 is 210 × 297 mm and is a different size. These templates use Letter; check with your printer before substituting paper.
One sheet is not one program page
A sheet is the physical paper. A program page is one finished reading surface. A PDF page is one printable spread in our already-arranged export.
Four-page
2 PDF pages → 1 sheet → 4 finished pages
The outer spread holds the back and front cover. The other side holds the two inside pages. Fold once in the center.
Trifold
2 PDF pages → 1 sheet → 6 panels
Three panels on each side make six panels in total. Follow the supplied fold guides and keep the cover facing out.
Eight-page
4 PDF pages → 2 sheets → 8 finished pages
Print both sides of both sheets, fold them, and place the inner sheet inside the outer sheet.

Life Remembered
Eleanor Margaret Hayes grew up inSpringfield and spent more than thirty yearsteaching at Oak Street Elementary School.She kept a small shelf of spare books forchildren who finished their work early, andformer students often stopped to talk with herat the grocery store. At home, Eleanor grewtomatoes beside the back steps and saved seedpackets in an old cookie tin. She mendedHalloween costumes, made quilts fromleftover fabric, and wrote birthdays on thekitchen calendar. Her children, Mary, James,and Claire, remember Sunday lunches wheneveryone helped set the table and washeddishes together afterward. In retirement shevisited the library each Thursday and took aneighbor along when the weather was poor.Eleanor is survived by her three children andher grandchildren, including Daniel and RoseCollins. Her family will remember herthrough the recipes, books, and ordinaryroutines they continue to share.

A few common questions
Does a four-page program use four sheets of paper?
No. Our four-page program uses one US Letter sheet printed on both sides and folded once. The print-ready PDF contains two already-arranged spread pages.
Is a trifold a six-page booklet?
A trifold has six panels on one sheet, not six booklet leaves. Its panels are narrower than the pages of a half-fold program, so short, separate sections work well.
Can I print these Letter PDFs on A4?
A4 is 210 × 297 mm and differs from US Letter. These product formats are designed for Letter. Ask the printer before substituting A4; automatic scaling changes the finished size and margins.
Should I turn on booklet mode in the printer dialog?
Not for our already-imposed four-page and eight-page print-ready PDFs. Print the PDF pages in their existing order, double-sided, with short-edge flip and Actual Size / 100%. Files from other sources may require different settings.
How many words fit on a page?
There is no single reliable word limit across all designs. Font size, line breaks, photos, headings, and the template’s text area affect fit. Review your actual content in the proof rather than relying on a word-count promise.
